I added the flax logo of the NI Assembly: think it's more suitable than the outline map. EamonnPKeane 17:00, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
The Royal Arms are neutral as they are the image actually used on political documents. I don't understand what you mean about the Royal Family however, they are not from Northern Ireland and have their own personal arms.
The Royal Arms always exist and I don't see what that 1973 Act has to do with anything. The Royal Arms are within the Queen's own personal powers. The use of the arms was pointed out before and supported by others.
I don't have to sign the post as it is done automatically. Your use of the English language is atrocious, yet I still manage to discussion [sic] with you. Yet again you fail to explain why you disagree with using the Royal Arms. The use of a national coat of arms is consistent in this site for political templates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.161.93.126 ( talk) 21:13, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Constant IP reversion is getting tiresome. SP'd for a month. BLACKKITE 00:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey all. The wikilink to "Politics of Northern Ireland" hits a redirect to "Demography and politics of Northern Ireland". I tried to fix it, but it eludes me. As I have a short attention span, I figured I would post this here. If someone knows how to correct the link and feels inclined to do so, have at it. -- Bark ( talk) 15:57, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi. A newcomer is trying to replace the current neutral logo, in use since April 2007, for a Royal insignia with no reference to the local government. I see that the unopposed use of the public-domain "Politics of Northern Ireland" image for more than two years constitutes enough consensus for keeping this logo in place. The reasons exposed by the editor on his latest summary, regarding that the Royal badge is used by the Assembly, Executive and Secretary office are only true for the latter, which is the only proper "British" representative in the island. Therefore, the Royal symbol is far for being comprehensive of Northern Ireland as a political entity.-- Darius ( talk) 17:15, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
