Ibero-American Championships (no multi-sports event), CAC Championships and Central American Championships (no continental championships) do not really fit into the scheme of Template:International athletics. Something like "Regional", "Cultural", or "Other" might be helpful. CroesJ ( talk) 10:43, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
There are no more NACAC Combined Events. Instead, the Pan American Combined Events Cup organized by the Association of Panamerican Athletics, rather than by NACAC is held, also comprising athletes from CONSUDATLE. This does not really fit into the "Continental" scheme of Template:International athletics. Something like "Pan American" or "Americas" might be helpful. CroesJ ( talk) 10:53, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
The new 'Athletics World Cup' does not belong in this category. It's not organised by the IAAF and it's not an international championship event. It's essentially an invitational competition between a select few countries, dressed up to look more important than it really is. It's in the same category as the Decanation or Thorpe Cup; if those two competitions aren't listed here, then neither should the Athletics World Cup.
