I don't really understand why a tv show is listed as a commercial fishing vessel? The link doesn't fit in with the rest, it would be better left out. 195.177.83.221 ( talk) 07:48, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Epipelagic, I was not aware, that these two had resently been removed by an other user. I stumbled upon "The Sea of Galilee Boat" article, And looking a the template, I thought that it was quite clear that these two articles did not belong. Since they are about two particular boats, and not types of boats. Looking at the talk page and the history, it seams clear that several editors agrees with me. (On a side note, please assume good faith, instead of accusing other editors on loose grounds). P. S. Burton ( talk) 19:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
many of the watercraft in this template are not "fishing boats" per se; they are simply boats. Accordingly, I would like to rename this template to " Template:Boats and boating." a new section labeled "overviews" will be added, and will include the entry fishing boat, but also will link to other types of boats that may be listed at wikipedia. "A jongkong is a type of dugout canoe from Maritime Southeast Asia. Jongkong was the simplest boat from Riau-Lingga area, and can be found widely though in small numbers throughout the area. The first record of jongkong comes from the Malay Annals (which was composed no earlier than the 17th century AD), being used by Majapahit empire during the first Majapahit attack on Singapura (1350) [1] and during the fall of Singapura (1398).
