Pre-Qing Dynasty silver units
Prior to the
ManchuQing Dynasty silver units weren't standardised and it wasn't until the mid-19th century that attempts at creating monetary units for silver was made. Prior to then monetary weights units were used (see "
Template:Monetary weight units of China"), these were monetary units but not currency units as they were based on weights rather than units of account. --
