I've restored the Honourable Artillery Company to the list, in light of its prior deletion it is probably worth pointing out to the causal observer that despite its name the HAC has been a predominantly infantry regiment for most of its history and its 1st and 2nd Battalions fought on the Western and Italian fronts in World War One. What is the source for this? Some of the unit names seem odd. Saga City ( talk) 08:34, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
†Changed later in 1921 to the King's Royal Rifle Corps (AO 69/1921), Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment (AO 183/1921)
"World War I" is an Americanism. Are there any objections to moving this to "British infantry regiments, First World War" and also changing the top line to say "First World War"? Moonraker ( talk) 02:42, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Does anyone know why this template presents the regiments in such an artificial order? Why is the Highland Light Infantry listed as Scottish, but not Light Infantry? Or Royal Irish Rifles is not a Rifle Regiment? Smacks of WP:OR.
Also, why are Welsh Regiments listed before the Irish ones, and both before Light Infantry? Prince Albert's (Somerset Light Infantry) 13th Foot, then Royal Irish Regiment 18th Foot before Royal Welsh Fusiliers 23rd Foot?
Surely this should be in the normal British Army order of precedence? Hamish59 ( talk) 20:00, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
