I've semi-protected this template to prevent further disruption by a banned editor who uses a large number of anon IP addresses as sockpuppets. See Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Wikipéire for details of this banned editor.  DDStretch   (talk) 23:07, 13 November 2008 (UTC)‎ reply

I propose to change the title of this template to "Football in the Republic of Ireland" in line with the FIFA ruling on the naming of the two Irish football associations, and consistent with WP which follows this ruling on all other football articles.
