Should a new section, "Related", be added to the template? This could include e.g. Assyrian Genocide and Pontian Greek Genocide, since the context, the timeframe and the parties involved in those events are roughly the same as the Armenian Genocide. Someone has decided to remove all instances of this template from the relevant articles, claiming it is "highly disputed"? I can't see any disputes here... yandman 08:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC) reply

I don't think the template per se is objectionable. Its more the fact that a large template has been splashed over several generalist historical articles, namely those included in the "responsible parties" section. This makes it look as if the sole historical relevance of these articles is to the Armenian genocide, which is incorrect. Also some of these articles ( Ahmed Djemal, İsmail Enver) contain little text about the genocide, which jars with the large template. IMO, this template should only be placed in articles that are primarily concerned with the Armenian genocide. After all, the Template:The Holocaust hasn't been placed in every article about prominent nazis.

Operation Nemesis

I think Operation Nemesis should be included in the Aftermath section not the Resistance section. For starters it did not come into effect until the 1920s. Secondly, the name says it all, this was a response to the genocide, not an effort to stop a genocide. Would the administrator be so kind as to make this change? Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa & Special Organization

The Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa and Special Organization (Ottoman Empire) are the same thing. Both of those articles should be merged, and only Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa (note spelling) should appear in this template. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.233.20.131 ( talk) 06:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC) reply

Where does your citation for this claim? I would like to take a closer look at that source. The article "Special" claims executive committee of "Ministry of the Interior" (Talaat Pasha). The "Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa" article claims organized under War Department (Enver Pasha). They seem to be two different organizations. -- Seemsclose ( talk) 22:35, 12 April 2008 (UTC) reply
