@ McChizzle: The reason I initially used the symbols vs the seals were that they are more easily recognizable at much smaller sizes (think the Army star, vs the Army service make which just looks like a green disc at this size) and to avoid confusion between the Air Force's service mark and the Department of the Air Force seal since they’re almost identical and shown side by side here. @ Thewolfchild: I saw that earlier on you initially made the same change and then reverted yourself – was wondering if you'd be able to provide your reasoning or preference for this topic? I can think of a number of US Department of Defense agencies missing from this list – e.g. DARPA, Missile Defense Agency, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Defense Legal Services Agency, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, Space Development Agency. Now, maybe there are good reasons for omitting them all – I can see why for reasons of space, we might want to only include the more "important" agencies – but in that case, have objective criteria been followed in deciding what to include? What criteria are those? SomethingForDeletion ( talk) 11:03, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
