Add a period at end of the list, so that is creates a complete sentence. The proper place is right before the #16 parameter:
}}.{{#if:{{{16|}}}
Hatnote templates should end with a period per WP:Hatnote#format. This template, together with {{ see also}}, are the only ones missing the period. See also {{ hatnote templates documentation}}. - DePiep ( talk) 12:26, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

(Original title: §§ & other difficulties when used with Template:Section link.)
See
https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lists&diff=748184179&oldid=746946461 for how I fixed an error but had to leave it looking a little clunky. I did not try fixing it with {{!}}
or whatever replaces a pipe in such templates. I ran out of oomph.
Previous rendered formatting was:
See also: Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not §§ Wikipedia is not a directory and Wikipedia is not indiscriminate
My edit summary is:
Corrected the Template:See also2/ Template:Section link error that generated §§. However, it's a little clunky that it has to link to the full title & section twice for the same page. Pipe magic may fix?
Current formatting (without bothering to re-create the links on this page that it has on the other) is:
See also: Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not § Wikipedia is not a directory and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not § Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information
Better formatting would be IMO:
See also: Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not § Wikipedia is not a directory and § Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information
I'm mainly putting this here in case someone wants to try to get better formatting out of it. ... D'OH! I just got the formatting I wanted by using |nopage=y in the second use of Section link.
Final wikitext that got the rendered formatting I wanted is:
{{See also2 |{{section link |Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not |Wikipedia is not a directory}} |{{section link |Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not |Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information |nopage=y}}}}
Now, I am leaving this here in case someone would like to update the documentation to include how to do this. I probably, as usual, will not make it back here myself, although this time I'll try harder. Also, sorry I can't rewrite this due to real-life limitations. Thanks! — Geekdiva ( talk) 21:46, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
