"New" rank insignia
@
Swapnil1101: I'm wondering where you are getting the information from that the images you have placed are "new" insignia?
Yours is based on
old png images from 2009. Not exactly new.
Images from as recent as
2018 and current
official images show the former ranks are still used.
@
Swapnil1101: yes, but that is independent of that rank itself, just like
this image, shows only a small square use as the rank insignia rather than a large rectangle, like for officers. I just don't why there is a need for changing the images, when they are sourced and accurate to to real life examples.

Swapnil1101: Then maybe all officers should also be corrected. In any case, sergeants and below don't use shoulder boards, so there is no reason to use images which show that.

Skjoldbro: changing officer ranks will look bad bcz for pilot officer you have to use Line and for Chief Marshal you have to use Rectangle. See
New Zealand air force. Their sergeants also wear rank on arms not on shoulder. Should we change them? using line, square, triangle, rectangle will look un-uniform. We are here using representation rank not actual images how they wear. lets follow how
official website represnts ranks.

Skjoldbro: i don't see difference between patch of
MWO and
Sqn Ldr/
Wg. Cdr. as all of them are wore on shoulder and are part of rectangle. lets keep MWO, WO and JWO as shoulder strap like officers have, and revert Sergeant, Corporal, Leading aircraftman and Aircraftman as to previous svg as they wear it on arms. but what should we place for aircraftman, except eagle he has nothing ? Here is one more
JWO vs
