In my opinion, the title of the template International pioneering / friendly association football tournaments in Europe is not clear about which tournaments should be included.
Friendly tournaments with international participation, such as the Emirates Cup, shall probably not be included.
My question is whether the following tournaments, which I recently added, still meet the criteria of a pioneer competition. And if so, when will the limit be reached, where one can no longer speak of a pioneering competition.
- Coppa dell'Amicizia (1959–1968)
- Coppa delle Alpi (1960–1987)
- Balkans Cup (1961–1994)
- Anglo-Italian League Cup (1969–1976)
- Anglo-Italian Cup (1970–1996)
