Midvale

Is Midvale a CDP or just a community in Wanaque Boro? Kether83 23:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC) reply

"Communities" linking to "Unincorporated Area"

I'm not particularly fond of this linkage, as there are no unincorporated areas of NJ. A better linkage may be to census designated place, which is a pretty good idea of what these are, but I'm not sure if all these sub-municipality communities are technically CDPs. oknazevad ( talk) 21:09, 3 December 2008 (UTC) reply

The thing is that they're not themselves unincorporated. We've run into the same situation in all the New England states, as there are many such communities with articles, and virtually none of them lie in grants, gores, or Maine's unorganized territory. I know this current way isn't the best way to put it on the template, but I can't think of a better way to refer to them. They're clearly not CDPs, for we would already list them as such; it's simply that, unlike most counties in the state (only Essex, Bergen, Hudson, and Union are like Passaic) there are no CDPs.
