Okay, I like the idea for this template, but I am going to have to change a few things:
1) I am removing
Kaula and
Neva Shoals from the list, Kaula is not part of the monument or the island chain (see
Northwestern Hawaiian Islands talk page), and Neva Shoals is not one of the ten islands- it's part of
Lisianski Island's reef system.
2) Let's reorder the islands on the template in order from
Nihoa to
Kure Atoll, because I think that geographical order is better than alphebetical.

Thanks for the comments. Your edits look fine to me. I was not aware of Neva Shoals-- I admit-- did not thoroughly read the talk page.
Why is
Kaula in the
Category:Northwestern Hawaiian Islands if it is not a part of the island chain? I agree it should not be included in the template if it is not at least a part of the island chain. I am puzzled as to why it is listed in the category.
As for the listing order, I knew when I made the template that some would want geographic order. I chose alphabetical order becuase the template's purpose is provide navigation to all articles about the NWHI, not necessarily to educate about geography. The individual articles provide this information. Most people do not know the geographical order of the islands, so the geographical arrangement will not have any logical significance to most, whereas the alphabetical order is near universal. (Plus, is the geographic order Norht to South? South to North? East to West?) Therefore, I would prefer to return the listings to an alphabetical order, but I would like to hear your opinion on the matter. Kindly, --

Firstly, I did not know that Kaula was part of the
Category:Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, but I will remove that now. Secondly, the listing order is your preference- if you want it to be alphebetical than I am behind you. To answer your question, the geographic order would be South to North (Same as East to West or Newest to Oldest). I don't know why, but the islands (when listed geographically) are always listed from Nihoa to Kure.

Disagree strongly on the alphabetical order. The template should be listed geographically from the east to the west and has the most significance in this context. This is because the geographical order of the islands corresponds closely with many factors related to the
evolution of Hawaiian volcanoes.
