I've just spotted this template being used on Image:BankScotland50.jpg. I would like to point out that the wording on this template is wholly inappropriate in this case, and also if it were to be applied to any of the banknotes issued by the other Scottish or Northern Irish banks - they are not "crown copyright", they will be copyright of the individual banks concerned. Even in the case of notes issued by the Bank of England, the central bank of the UK, each note quite clearly says "© The Governor and Company of the Bank of England", NOT "crown copyright". I'm not sure what the copyright status of notes issued by the Government of the Isle of Man, or the States of Jersey or the States of Guernsey is, but I suspect they are not crown copyright either. -- Arwel ( talk) 22:55, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
As of date of writing the permission to use images has lapsed. It needs to be renewed anually. If anyone knows how to go about doing this I would be grateful if they would let me know or do it themselves. Retroplum ( talk) 16:02, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Anyone on this? ShakespeareFan00 ( talk) 17:26, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
