I found some linty markup at Category:People from the Republic of Genoa by occupation that resulted from an empty Nationality parameter, and I copied and expanded the markup to Category:Sandbox/Lint, where the error behavior and its workaround can be seen. The template should be modified to behave gracefully on an empty Nationality parameter, and I put in the Goose example as well to spotlight that to someone who doesn't already know what's going on, usage is not explained very well. — Anomalocaris ( talk) 06:55, 26 October 2023 (UTC) reply
