Pick up any authoritative street directory and it is indicated by the width of the road. I doubt the newer mightyminds era editions work thou.--

OK, before I asked I checked 2, and they where different, but one is mightyminds. I will do some more research and see. I was more hoping for a answer with a link to a LTA web site. Thanks! --

No problem. I would advise against using mightminds and other publications used at present thou, since they are no longer produced by the government, so there is no guarantee they will be error free. Meanwhile, if I recall correctly, the URA also have a classification of roads as part of its master plans.--

Do not worry, I do not really care to change the template in wikipedia, I wanted to use wikipedia as a source for how to represent roads in
openstreet map, but since there is no good reference for wikiepdia I'm not sure how to do it. I have not had time to check anything yet, do you know if the master plans can be found online? --

My GOD I didnt know there is such a thing as openstreet!! Cool for a map freak like me!! Maybe I can give u a hand over there when I can find the time hehe. Anyway the most recent Master Plan 2003 can be found here:
[1] The Master Plan 2008 is due to be published soon thou. But I forgot to mention that the major/minor road thing can only be found in the individual reports at
[2], which is a tad outdated by now. Click on each locality, click on the "about XX planning area" link, then click transportation. Some plans may not publish the road hierachy map online thou...--

Thanks, will read! Please head over to openstreet map, there is LOTS to do, look at europe and US, they have VERY good maps now, Singapore was basically non existant 2 months ago, now me and one more guy is slowly making some progress, but we need more help! --
