I used the <font size=> syntax because if you transclude the welcome {{ LDSWelcome}} rather than using {{ subst:LDSWelcome}} then if the user clicks the section edit word - they will be taken to the template and will be editing the template rather than their own talk page - which I thought would be confusing to them.

Thus, if we keep the current change we need to be sure to subst the text in rather than transcluding the template. Trödel 01:23, 3 May 2006 (UTC) reply

I figured the signature ought to have a timestamp so I added this using ~~~~~ – 5 tildes – however I don't quite see why just the regular four tildes could not be used as with the {{ Welcome!}} template for instance. __ meco 08:19, 3 December 2007 (UTC) reply
