- Despite the history, it is not a duplicate. Given your recent edits, I will add I've included the independent "south atlantic" champions (1907-1911) here as well. Perhaps they need a separate navbox. Nonetheless, all the teams listed in this navbox 1) claim regional championships and 2) weren't part of any conference, aside from 1924 Centre, which claimed a general regional championship for upsetting SoCon champion Alabama. All others should be pretty straightforward if you look at the sources, images, etc. For example, there are several sources to back me up that Trinity was the (however dubious) 1891 southern champion.
