Current vs. former

Shouldn't this template be divided into two sections, for current hotels and former hotels? I find it misleading when former hotels (e.g. ones listed on the NRHP under their "Hotel" name) are listed in Wikipedia article or category simply as a "hotel", without any qualifier. A good encyclopedia avoids that sort of ambiguity. SJ Morg ( talk) 07:39, 3 January 2015 (UTC) reply

Agreed. I was thinking the same thing before I read this comment. --- Another Believer ( Talk) 07:59, 3 January 2015 (UTC) reply
I created separate sections for Current and Former and have started moving the entries accordingly. I am not sure if Elks Temple should be included or not, since I think this is about the building specifically and there are separate articles for the hotels ( Sentinel Hotel, Seward Hotel). Also unknown status: Kenton Hotel, Osborn Hotel. --- Another Believer ( Talk) 21:25, 18 January 2015 (UTC) reply
