This one template replaces all other templates, this is more comprehensive, too many and less-informative templates confuse and add-clutter. Please replace all other templates with this one, this merges all into one, categorizes the data in more informative manner in one single place instead of having is spread across multiple temple that provides only half the picture. Thanks. Thecutehero ( comment)
In India, state assembly constituencies are divided by district, a person might be interested in finding out about his state constituency as well as corresponding national parliament constituency and having separate templates does not provide that. Same way a district level govt officer or a political party official/activist may want to see all the state and national parliament constituencies within the district. Some times whole district and all its state assembly constituencies are assigned to a single national parliamentary, and there are cases where state assembly constituencies within a district are assigned to multiple national parliamentary constituencies (each state level constituency is assigned only to one national parliamentary constituency). A person looking from the perspective of national parliamentary constituencies, would have to deal with each state constituency as well as officials of all the districts within the national parliamentary constituency. Hence, having a template that maps state constituencies to national constituencies as well as grouped by districts is important, also important to denote if the are reserved for special classes (SC- scheduled castes, ST- scheduled tribe, Women, etc)
THIS IS WHAT I WILL DO I will create a separate comprehensive template. I have applied both your templates to all the constituencies I have created or edited. I will also apply my new comprehensive template there. That way people can use in future whichever the like, if more people think, we should merge, etc then it can be done in the future. I intend to slowly create the rest (18 done, 62 more to go).
PLS HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE REVERT PROCESS And, thanks, now I understand the process, if someone reverts then post on talkpage to discuss it. Now, what happens if I post on talk page and the person does not reply for few days, what is the process after that, re-post as a reminder? Still no reply then reapply the reverted changes? how does it usuall work - tips for most pragmatic and cordial way, without wasting time in arguing with people? How do you insert the time stamp in your signature?
SUGGESTION- BE GENTLER AND KIND And, please refrain from using words like, "aweful" etc, thats already pour salt over wonder after reverting people's hours of work, be respectful and polite if you are demolishing someone;s work, it goes a long way. Thanks. Thecutehero ( comment)
Thanks about the tips on sign, time stamp and
About the half-baked, I did not start it, I was pissed off at "aweful" after reverts with NO SPECIFIC, that is rather harsh and not a good way to provide non-specific revert with "aweful". I welcome CONSTRUCTIVE PRAGMATIC SPECIFICS that take things forward. I respect those who respect me :)
About creating other constituencies, there a lot of those to be created, my worry is if I create too many then someone will come along and start deleting (speedy delete, normal delete, start questioning NOTABILITY) or kick me out or revert/delete all for SPAMMING without realizing the importance of what I am trying to create, it may not be perfect but good start for people to refine once created. WHAT is the best way to avoid that SPEEDY DELETE, being thrown notability rules, etc. Today I created several state vidhan sabha constituencies in Hisar Lok Sabha, no one deleted or marked them for deleting yet. So I am waiting for few days before I create next lot of 5 or 6, if I knew no one is gonna delete/kick me out for spam then I can go ahead and keep creating. What do you suggest, fastest way to create acceptable ones, our experience so far?
Thanks, you already renamed some of the constituencies that I wanted to rename to the standard convention but did not know how. How do I rename, move, merge or add redirects to an article? e.g. HAU, Hisar should take the user to Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. Another example, I created this but misspelt it Western Yaumna Canal and it should have been Western Yamuna Canal, how do I rename it and I have referneced/linked to in several other articles, so how do i ensure that those older misspelt links will take ther reader to newer name-corrected article if we rename it? Sorry for too many questions, you seem to be much more experienced and willing to help. Whatever, we started, at least we can turn it to good, we both share the same passion, better to collaborate. jejeje. Thanks. Thecutehero ( talk) 21:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
