I have added an error message and tracking category for invalid ISBNs. – Jonesey95 ( talk) 04:03, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
This template uses ISBN magic words (e.g. ISBN 0123456789). It should be updated to use isbn templates (e.g. {{ISBN|0123456789}}. Headbomb { talk / contribs / physics / books} 17:48, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
There seems to be a change in format that is making the width and columns of the template compact to the text. Using the width parameter seems to fix the former, but the columns remain off-center. Here's how it looks without the width parameter:
No. | Original release date | Original ISBN | North American release date | North American ISBN | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2018 | — | 2018 | — | ||

2 | 2018 | — | 2018 | — | ||

Thank you for the fix. User:SubZeroSilver ( talk) 14:52, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
It's the age of responsive web design. So I think "ChapterListCol1" and "ChapterListCol2" should be abolished in favour of one "ChapterList" parameter, and instead, there should be a new parameter that defines minimum width of each column. Just look at how {{ Div col}} does it with the "colwidth" parameter. JSH-alive/ talk/ cont/ mail 14:12, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
This report, which is generated each month, shows the parameters that are used in this template, and how many articles use each of the parameters. – Jonesey95 ( talk) 18:25, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

Please remove
{{Template sandbox notice}}
since the template is not a sandbox and shows nothing. Furthermore, if this was left over from copying the /sandbox over, the notice can just be added to the /doc page, but it need not be hardcoded into the template itself. Thanks, -- DannyS712 ( talk) 03:22, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
Jonesey95, per your request, I've started adding TemplateData to the template using the tutorial. I plan to add all parameters, as my bandwidth permits. Cheers. — andrybak ( talk) 07:38, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
On this edit, I tried listing the ISBN and release dates for an omnibus version that was only released in English, but after saving it, the information appears on the original Japanese release columns as well. lullabying ( talk) 18:57, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
|ISBN_note=

I am proposing that the </table> tag found in {{ Graphic novel list/footer}} be added to the {{ Graphic novel list/header}} template as shown in these testcases using the sandbox I have made so that the list of {{ Graphic novel list}} will go inside the {{ Graphic novel list/header}} template making it simpler to add this template and its functionality would be more inline with {{ Episode table}}. A change I also made was to add <abbr> tags to the No. header cell to display Number when a cursor is over it. I appreciate any input, thanks. Terasail [Talk] 20:55, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

I'm working on
Crimson Spell and the LicensedISBN parameter does not allow me to include more than one ISBN at the same time, whereas OriginalISBN allows me to do so using ISBN note.
On another note, is there a way to implement parameters like OriginalRelDate2, OriginalISBN2, LicensedRelDate2, etc. in the future? There are some series that have been reprinted under a different ISBN, such as volume 1 of Don't Be Cruel and The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese, or have several different versions such as A Polar Bear in Love, Ao Haru Ride, etc. Moreover, just like in the issue mentioned above with Crimson Spell and Finder Series, there may be more than one English translation by different companies. lullabying ( talk) 11:17, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Given the change of the page width in the new layout, is it possible for someone to change all Width=75% and 72% to 70% on all pages automatically, so the lists dont conflict with the infobox position? Smeagol 17 ( talk) 20:30, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
width: 22em
. Barring that, I think that adjusting the width manually in each article is your only choice for now. If you figure out how wide the Vector 2022 screen is in em units, that might work best. –

At Yo-kai Watch (manga) I found that the United States English ISBNs and release dates were already there. I wanted to add such dates for the Singapore English version, which has separate ISBNs and release dates. However the template seems to allow for only one English version to be listed. How may I deal with this?
Thank you, WhisperToMe ( talk) 21:38, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
Sorry if this is utterly in the wrong place, but could we get a parameter for the translator? I'd like to put translator information in for light novels/manga, but they sometimes change per volume so it might make sense to put it in the table. Erynamrod ( talk) 20:07, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

As reported at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#REST API returning HTML that doesn't exist in standard page, this template generates an extra empty table row below the heading when using the new Parsoid parser.
To remedy that, please apply this change from the sandbox: [5]. Matma Rex talk 16:03, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
While updating the
pt:Predefinição:Volume de mangá/Cabeçalho template, I came across something I'd like to suggest for implementation here. At the moment, parameters like |OneLanguage=
and |WithTitle=
are case-sensitive. It can be easily fixed if we replace, for example,
{{#ifeq:{{{WithTitle|}}}|yes|24|48}}
with
{{#if:{{yesno|{{{WithTitle|}}}}}|24|48}}
.
This way, even values like y
and true
would be accepted.
