Template-protected edit request on 21 September 2021

As discussed on the talk page, it might be useful to add such edit notice to the talk page in order to prevent regular repeat requests from taking place. Such requests appear very frequently on the discussion page, despite previous attempts at making it crystal clear in the FAQ section that such requests will be rejected. It is hoped that such edit notice will help avoid further unnecessary requests. BeŻet ( talk) 19:14, 21 September 2021 (UTC) reply

Template-protected edit request on 23 October 2022

This edit notice was originally created to stop a succession of drive-by reposts of the same previously rejected edit request. Those requests have been a nuisance, but there is another type of edit that would be served by a notice, which is anonymous or unconfirmed editors trying to send messages to Musk. These include begging requests, business proposals, and targets of 419 scams. They sometimes include personal information (phone numbers, addresses, bank account numbers) that has to be expunged.

I propose replacing with the following: 67.180.143.89 ( talk) 19:50, 23 October 2022 (UTC) reply

The Elon Musk page no longer calls him a maggot magnate, so the second point of the notice is out of date. It should be updated to: The article will not identify Musk as a "business magnet". 2601:642:4600:BE10:B0DA:77B4:A991:744D ( talk) 03:06, 3 March 2024 (UTC) reply
