Lithuania national basketball team is now a disambiguation page. The following line needs to be added to this template so that the pages using this template can point to the men's or women's team pages: | link alias-basketball = Lithuania {{{mw|men's}}} national basketball team

Hmm, when I add that line to the template and use "Preview page with this template" to get a preview of this talk page, I don't see any difference in the results. I'm not sure if that's a fault with the code or with my method of testing it, so I'll leave this for someone else to test and implement.  Done @ John of Reading: You probably forgot to add the line | altvar = {{{altvar|}}} to pass through the variable. TDL ( talk) 23:12, 19 March 2015 (UTC) reply
@ Danlaycock: That's a very polite way of putting it. Thanks! -- John of Reading ( talk) 08:34, 20 March 2015 (UTC) reply
@ Danlaycock: If the altvar line isn't there, will it need to be added when this change is made to other templates (based on the discussion for the Lithuania team, I imagine that this is going to happen for more men's basketball teams soon)? - Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 00:53, 20 March 2015 (UTC) reply
Yup it'll be necessary. There's an explanation at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Flag_Template#National_sport_team_template_parameters, but basically whenever a link alias-sport parameter is used the altvar = {{{altvar|}}} line must be present to pass the altvar variable through from the {{ bk}} template to the flaglink template. Otherwise, the flaglink template won't know which of the variants to link to. (There can be a number of them like at {{ Country data Taiwan}}.)
For example, in {{ bk}} altvar = basketball. The altvar = {{{altvar|}}} line passes this to the flaglink template so it knows to link to the basketball article. TDL ( talk) 01:38, 20 March 2015 (UTC) reply
Thanks! As I mentioned, you might be seeing a bunch of these requests in the next few days or weeks. - Niceguyedc Go Huskies! 03:07, 20 March 2015 (UTC) reply

You forgot to add the age parameter – here's the correct code:
| link alias-basketball = Lithuania {{{mw|men's}}} national national {{{age|}}} basketball team

Done, though without the double "national", which I assume was a typo. SiBr4 ( talk) 17:41, 3 July 2015 (UTC) reply

| flag alias-1989 = Flag of Lithuania 1989-2004.svg should be changed to | flag alias-1988 = Flag of Lithuania 1988-2004.svg—the most recent change of flag was on 18 November 1988; the file was latterly changed and corrected in 2013. Neve- selbert 10:06, 26 December 2015 (UTC) reply

Done by adding a 1988 variant and tracking the 1989 variant for replacement. SiBr4 ( talk) 11:52, 26 December 2015 (UTC) reply
