"(no need to remove acronyms... template did not seem to bother anyone for over a year, so a change like that might be better discussed first)" Okay, I would like to remove the acronyms from the template. There's space in the template and the schools should be referred to by their proper names as per WP:Naming conventions.-- Loodog 02:22, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
...amgonst plenty others. I think the concerns raised by WP:Naming conventions (which is a preference, not a prohibition) are addressed by the fact that each of the link in the template are under the title of "Colleges and Universites in Rhode Island". The chance for confusion (which the WP abbreviation policy is trying to limit) is remarkably slim. I see no reason why this template should differ from the majority of the other university templates. Just my $.02. And kudos for reverting before even waiting for a response on the discussion page. - Masonpatriot 04:13, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
