It isnt standard: some do, some don't. If you look at the history, this template never has listed caretakers unless the current manager was a caretaker, apart from brief periods when editors added a random selection of recent ones. cheers,

If it is standard, you'll be able to show me where it says that caretakers are required. Of the current Championship manager templates, about three-quarters include them, but some of those have only one or two recent ones, which is unlikely to be a complete set. "Some" isn't an improvement on "none", because it misleads the reader into believing that those listed are the only ones. Which is why I've always removed random selections. cheers,

I completely agree with Struway2 that we shouldn't been misleading readers in to thinking this template includes a complete list of caretaker managers, when it does not...

You are both, of course, completely correct. We are an encyclopedia and should only have articles when the information is 100% complete (meaning we should not expect other people to contribute and help improve articles).
