I wonder if we should make the subgroups groups, to use the space better. Compare {{Benjamin Britten}}. Up to 10 groups are possible. Perhaps "Sacred choral works", "Secular choral works", "Orchestral works", "Chamber music"? --

You have more experience than I have with such templates. The template could perhaps look so:
Smaller choral works: the about 40 motets, hymns, antiphons, etc. NB: In
List of compositions by Anton Bruckner the number of this group is inflated (50) because of the several versions/editions of some of the works
Secular choral works:
Lieder: 5 (or 6?)
Weltliche Chorwerke: about 40
Chamber music:
Works for string instruments (including Abendklänge for violin and piano): 5
Piano works: 9
Other instrumental works: Organ works (5), 2 Aequali (2, put in the MWV as "sacred music work") and Military march (1)
Questions:
Would the works in each group be classified in a chronological order (as by Britten)?
In which group would the "mixed" group of the 8 Cantatas (some in several versions) be put?
Keep simple, would be my idea, He is known for his symphonies.
Symphonies: 11
Other orchestral works: 2
Sacred choral works: 15
Secular choral works
Chamber music
Other compositions
We can always subdivide when more articles come along. If really many motets and Chorwerke, they should probably go to a different template, as the Bach cantatas. Years are nice to have but no must. --
