Heron Bommie
A 360° panorama of the coral reef near Heron Island, Queensland, Australia, along the Great Barrier Reef. The image was taken with the Seaview SVII underwater survey camera, which is being used by the Catlin Seaview Survey to create visual records of the health of coral reefs and to raise public awareness of threats to coral reefs. The distortion evident near the top and bottom of the image is the result of rendering this image in a rectangular form rather than a 3D model.
