This is a shortcut template for generating a link to the secondary sources sub-policy of WP:No original research, useful when it's necessary to give a reminder that only secondary sources can be used for any WP:AEIS: analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis of the facts, evidence, concepts, and ideas taken from primary sources. It saves a lot of typing.

Parameters:
|uc=y or |lc=n – begins with upper-case "A", for use at start of sentence. (These parameters accept any input like |uc=TRUE

|s or |es or |plural – changes default text (singular nouns) to plural nouns "analyses, evaluations, interpretations, or syntheses"
|adj or |ic or |ive – changes to adjectival "analytic, evaluative, interpretive, or synthetic", for use before words like "claims"
|al or |cal or |ical – changes to alternative adjectival "analytic, evaluative, interpretive, or synthetic", for use before words like "claims"
|ze or |ize or |yze or |ate – changes to US/Oxford-style verbs "analyze, evaluate, interpret, or synthesize",
|se or |ise or |yse – changes to UK-news-style verbs "analyse, evaluate, interpret, or synthesize" [Note: "synthesise" is non-standard even in Commonwealth English.]
|zes or |izes or |yzes – changes to alt. US/Oxford verbs "analyzes, evaluates, interprets, or synthesizes"
|ses or |ises or |yses – changes to alt. UK verbs "analyses, evaluates, interprets, or synthesizes"
|ing or |zing or |izing– changes to US/Oxford gerunds "analyzing, evaluating, interpreting, or synthesizing"
|sing or |ising – changes to UK gerunds "analysing, evaluating, interpreting, or synthesizing"
|ed or |zed or |ized or |yzed – changes to US/Oxford past tense "analyzed, evaluated, interpreted, or synthesized",
