Ancient Greek by age 25 and
brigadier during
World War II, took up politics in the late 1940s and in the 1960s was selected for several cabinet positions. In 1968, he gave the
"Rivers of Blood" speech about the dangers of
immigration to the United Kingdom and of proposed
