Usage

If the subject of the Wikipedia article is the same as the Banglapedia page, only ID number is required. The template then uses the Wikipedia article name as the anchor text.

Instructions and examples

  1. Go to en.banglapedia.org and search for the article/subject you want (say, Bangladesh; you'll reach http://en.banglapedia.org/index.php?title=Bangladesh). This can also be done on the Wikipedia page by previewing {{Banglapedia}} and clicking that link ( http://en.banglapedia.org/index.php?search=Bangladesh&fulltext=Search ).
  2. Click on the correct name in the list (for Bangladesh, this will bring up the page http://en.banglapedia.org/index.php?title=Bangladesh)
  3. Copy only the article's title after "title=".
  4. Replace "ARTICLE'S NAME" and "AUTHOR" in the template code
    1. For the option above, you'll then have
      * {{Cite Banglapedia |article=Bangladesh |author=AM Chowdhury}} resulting in:
      • AM Chowdhury (2012). "Bangladesh". In Islam, Sirajul; Miah, Sajahan; Khanam, Mahfuza; Ahmed, Sabbir (eds.). Banglapedia: the National Encyclopedia of Bangladesh (Online ed.).
