Hameedat Temilade Adeniji well known as Temi Adeniji is a Nigerian-American music executive, and board member of Warner Music Group. Adeniji is known for leading, Warner Music Group operations in Africa, and the managing director of Warner Music Africa (formerly known as Warner Music South Africa). [1] She is credited for the crossover success of CKay 2019 single " Love Nwantiti". [2]
Hameedat Temilade Adeniji, is a descendant of the Yoruba ethnic group from the western part of Nigeria. She was born to Nigerian parents Lateph Adeniji, and Oluwatoyin Adeniji. [3] She graduated from Princeton in 2009. [4] After her graduation, Adeniji completed a joint degree program from Columbia Law School with a Juris Doctor degree and an Master of Laws degree in 2012. At the time of her studies at Columbia, Adeniji also completed a Master of Laws degree from University College London in 2012. [5] [3] [6]
Adeniji began her career in law before joining Warner Music Group in 2016 as the Director of the International Strategy & Operations department, under the leadership of Stephen Cooper. In 2019, she became VP of the department, and was later elevated to SVP in 2020. [1] In 2021, she was named managing director of Warner Music Africa (fka. Warner Music South Africa), and senior vice president to lead the strategy team for Sub-Saharan Africa. [7]
