Tayshetsky District ( Russian: Тайшетский райо́н) is an administrative district, one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. [1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Tayshetsky Municipal District. [6] It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 27,800 square kilometers (10,700 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Tayshet. [2] Population: 29,752 ( 2010 Russian census); [3] 36,502 ( 2002 Census); [8] 35,236 ( 1989 Soviet census). [9]
Within the framework of administrative divisions, Tayshetsky District is one of the thirty-three in the oblast. [1] The town of Tayshet serves as its administrative center. [2] As a municipal division, the district is incorporated as Tayshetsky Municipal District. [6]
