Tallabogue is a name derived from the Choctaw language purported to mean "palmetto creek". [2] Variant names are "Taala Bogue Creek", "Talla Bogue Creek", "Talla Creek", "Tallobogue Creek", and "Tallow Bogue Creek". [1]
