Just wanting some clarification here. What does this clause mean? Is it actually past of the Salt Ponds Region, or is this just a contrived name for the area? If the latter, who is doing the contriving and why is the name worth mentioning? Thanks for any help. — Anonymous Dissident Talk 07:16, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Brightman Pond, named after my ancestors, Henry Brightman born in England landed in Newport RI about 1650. Over the centuries, his descendents William Brightman born 1671 in Newport, RI and Joseph Brightman born 1715 in Portsmouth, RI to Henry Segar Brightman and Isabel Eliza Thomas my grandparents who settle in Charlestown, RI. Seafarers, Blacksmiths,Carpenters and Patriots helped settle the great state of Rhode Island. Thank you, Scott Trainor (descendent)
