Is there a PD photo we can get for this page? The photos on the NLM website where the PD base text for this article came from ( http://profiles.nlm.nih.gov/CP/Views/Exhibit/narrative/biographical.html) are not PD but reproduced with permission from the owners, mostly Mount Holyoke and Columbia. needs a lot of work

This is an amazingly brief article for Dr. Apgar! I'm pugrading it a little based just on the online biographies linked. -- lquilter 10:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Also a little US Centric. Apgar scores are used worldwide. Have adjusted the wording of "across the US" to worldwide accordingly, but some work may need to be done to add or clarify her international achievements. -- User:Anon 16:14, 07 June 2018 (UTC) reply
It's US centric because she was American. Anna ( talk) 13:32, 9 June 2018 (UTC) reply

There seems to be some racism occurring on this page as the ethnicity of this doctor is being deleted. I've cited two sources, including CNN which refers to her as Armenian and American. It is being taken down. Blueberrylove101 ( talk) 20:20, 7 June 2018 (UTC) reply

Please include the ethnicity of this doctor. It should state "... was an American obstetrical anesthesiologist, of Armenian ethnicity."

Please change "Virginia Apgar was an American..." to "Virginia Apgar was an American-Armenian..." (her family's ancestors were of the first Apgar generation to immigrate to America). Tallenabrams ( talk) 01:12, 8 June 2018 (UTC) reply
