... that Valerie Cowie was once described by a colleague as "one of the stars of modern psychiatry"? Source: "Consultant hailed as 'star of modern psychiatry'". The Times. 9 September 2023. p. 73. Like Valerie, John became a consultant psychiatrist and throughout their 20-year marriage the pair would support each other. Yet it was Valerie who became, as a colleague described her, 'one of the stars of modern psychiatry'.
ALT1: ... that when Valerie Cowie was appointed a
senior lecturer, one of her referees wrote that his "only reservation is that the post ... does not adequately do justice to her high academic status"? Source: Illman, John (24 July 2023). "Valerie Cowie: Influential psychiatrist and geneticist". BMJ: 1705.

Overall: Article is good! I have a slight preference for ALT1 but both are excellent options. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 12:36, 18 September 2023 (UTC)reply
