Something about sources of funding for think tanks would also be a useful addition. For example, comparing think tanks with clear sources of funding and those with opaque sources. Transparency campaigners consider that think tank funding sources could be clearer[1]. Are there
reliable sources which report which think tanks have clear sources of funding and which are opaque? I'm fairly sure there are organisations which specialise in identifying funding sources which are unclear in relation to lobbying about public policy.
