Where the article says "a manuscript was found", I infer that it was found by
Lucy Toulmin Smith in the Common-Place Book of the Fifteenth Century. Perhaps this could be checked in the sources given.

I'm pretty sure she was the first editor of the play, editing it for the journal Anglia in 1884 and bringing it out in book form in 1886. For this book the title page reads: "A Commonplace Book of the Fifteenth Century ... Printed from the Original MS. at Brome Hall, Suffolk, by Lady Caroline Kerrison. Edited with Notes by Lucy Toulmin Smith. London, and Norwich, 1886" (I don't have either of these physically in front of me so can't check) As Lady Caroline Kerrison lived at Brome Hall I think it's more likely that she physically found it, though I can't find any reference for this. None of the sources listed as "references" are much help, but I haven't checked the ones under "further reading". All this far less exciting that it is in Arcadia.
