I reverted three consecutive recent edits by TechnocratsBhopal ( diff) on the grounds that they were a total rewrite and needed a review by someone with no conflict of interest to weed out unintentional or even intentional bias and to ensure a neutral point of view.

The first of the three edits from August by Technocratsgroup might have useful material. ( diff).

Neutral editors should review the changes and restore those that need restoring.

Editors with any significant connection to this institution are encouraged to make recommendations on this talk page, but they should avoid editing the page except for fixing typos, removing violations of Wikipedia's copyright and Biographies of living persons policies, and other edits specifically allowed by Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline.

Additional information: A large amount of unreferenced was removed in 2019 ( diff). Some of the information that was removed MAY be appropriate to restore IF it can be backed up by suitable references. Editors new to Wikipedia should read and understand Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Independent sources, Wikipedia:Reliable sources, Wikipedia:Citing sources, and the other policies and guidelines at Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines before attempting to restore the material.

Also, don't use {{DISPLAYTITLE}} without reading Wikipedia:DISPLAYTITLE first. It usually does not do what you think it should do. This is deliberate. davidwr/( talk)/( contribs) 18:29, 23 September 2020 (UTC) reply

The additions and edits made over three edits on 23 Sep 2020 on Technocrats Institute of Technology page are genuine and have been made in the most non-partial extent possible. I have made sure that it does not have any promotional content and that the edits contain information that are purely unbiased, factual and verifiable from multiple sources including some that are cited in the edit as well. However, all the edits were reversed in an unambigious manner without any subjectivity - even the updated address, logo and motto of the Technocrats Institute of Technology were reversed which have no relation in context of biases or promotion. I would request the editor who reversed the edits or any any neutral editor to atleast skim through the edits made before and allow the content which reflects neutrality to remain present on the edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TechnocratsBhopal ( talk • contribs) 11:15, 24 September 2020 (UTC) reply

• Concur in part I am the editor who undid those edits. I strongly encourage editors with no ties to this institution to look through the edits, there is some encyclopedic material in there along with a lot of things that are not really fit for an encyclopedia. I join TechnocratsBhopal in encouraging editors to look through this and restore whatever is appropriate for an encyclopedia. • @ TechnocratsBhopal: Not everything that is factual is encyclopedic. Not everything which is encyclopedic needs to be stated in detail. For example, the complete list of degree programs and the complete detailed list of when each school was formed is over-kill. The rankings are only as impressive as the ranking agencies and the "competition." In the United States, there are several magazines that have university rankings of things like "the top 400 schools in this or that field." Being ranked 50th in one of those rankings may or may not be encyclopedic depending on the prestige of the universities ranked just above and just below. Being ranked 400th is almost certainly not encyclopedic. Being ranked first out of 400 almost always is, but it would not surprise me if there are some "junk lists" out there where being ranked first is basically meaningless. I skipped over the bulk of the rest in the interests of time, but I will end by saying "notable alumni" usually include only alumni who either have Wikipedia articles or who are so well-known that they SHOULD have Wikipedia articles. For example, if by some happenstance - say, an administrator pushed the wrong button - the article for Donald Trump were deleted, he should still be listed as a notable alumni of the colleges and universities he graduated from. davidwr/( talk)/( contribs) 14:07, 24 September 2020 (UTC) reply
