Why is there a greek writing to the name of the city, on this page. Is it the same contest with janina as well. 86.18.204.26 ( talk) 16:12, 18 April 2023 (UTC) reply

Removal of uncontested scholarly statement

The existence of a proto-Greek area in LBA is confirmed by contemporary scholarship and is based on extensive scientific data. As such Georgiev's statement is neither obsolete nor contested. Georgiev offers invaluable information about the toponymity of the area. Of course it's completely unhistorical to claim that a proto-Greek area existed much later ...in the hellenistic era.
