The overview says 16000 vehicles pass through the tunnel daily, or about 1 every 10 seconds, 24 hours a day. Having just been through the tunnel, this seems rather high. I would suggest more like 16000 per month! 124.199.126.233 ( talk) 05:09, 2 June 2012 (UTC) reply

The cutline for the second photo identifies it as the "Salang Tunnel entrance, 1975". It appears to be the entrance to the snow shed/gallery, with the actual tunnel portal at the far right margin. Kablammo ( talk) 12:16, 9 February 2023 (UTC) reply
