Paula Cole grew up in Rockport, and was president of her High School class. Fodder for "Famous Residents"?
I removed it because it's speculation. Venicemenace 23:21, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Shouldn't this article mention The Paper House? I only heard of it from a "did you know..." thing on a website and wanted to verify the truth of it. After more research (since Wikipedia didn't help) I found the official website. Someone who's actually been there, or even grew up around the area, might be better suited to adding this information to the article than me. -- Nillli ( talk) 13:22, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
I second the motion of mentioning the paper house. Our family was vacationing in the area of Rockport and someone local mentioned the paper house...otherwise we would not have seen it. Very interesting spectacle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.152.248.28 ( talk) 15:02, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
Can't we come up with a better photo of Bearskin Neck? It looks like all telephone poles and wires. And "southwest"? The shot is taken looking northeast. MBCF ( talk) 12:50, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Those two sites are works of art, wonderfully designed, amazingly apt for the purpose. Money spent on those was well-spent. However, their purposes are not our purposes. They are interested in current commerce in all its phases from advertising to event scheduling. We are interested in encyclopedic information and sources. What encyclopedic information comes from them? WP articles are not extensions of the official site. We don't care what businesses exist in town, what they sell, how much, where, how to contact them etc. You can disagree if you like. I would ask you to back it up with WP policy statements, which you can find in the help sections. Dave ( talk) 13:42, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
One of the historical links, which should be kept, concerns Sandy Bay Breakwater, a hazard of navigation intended to reduce hazard. After excavating big holes in Rockport for a number of years and dumping the stone out at sea the government abandoned the breakwater. There it stands, in the middle of nowhere, a small section only being above water, rivalling all the other shoals and hazards. It should be mentioned in an expanded history section. It was going make Rockport into a haven against nature, you know. Engineers can do anything they set their mind to, can't they? Man has no limits. All you need is the right management technique and a good imagination. Dave ( talk) 17:12, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Not allowed, WP:ELNO
This paragraph needs further work. I've re-written it in part, but there's a reference that needs checking and adding as a proper numbered reference. Chris Jefferies ( talk) 09:36, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
