A fact from Rita Cox appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 3 April 2024 ( check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that storyteller Rita Cox thinks of stories as "gently echoed music" between the storyteller and the listener? The cataloging information from the Library of Congress puts her birth date at 1939. There is another source, The Caribbean Camera that says she is older -- 92 as of 2022. I think the 1929/1930 date is correct because it would correspond to the mandatory retirement age from TPL of 65. Also, it would be odd for a source to put a wildly incorrect date, as opposed to an individual perhaps fabricating or putting the wrong date when submitting info to a publisher to be included in the Library of Congress cataloguing info. - Time from being hired as a children's librarian to becoming branch head at Parkdale is stated as six months, one year and the following year across three different sources. I've opted for saying something along the lines of "shortly after" to denote the time.

- The age for which Cox started working at her local library as a child varies from 10 to “11 or 12” across multiple sources. As such, I recommend indicating something like "around 11" as I've done in our original iteration of this article.

-For the Cumbayah Festival, a Globe and Mail article says that it started only in 1987, but the Smyth source says it was repeated that year and another source says the first one was 1984. It seems clear that 1984 is the first festival.

- For Storytellers School of Toronto, Smyth source states she was chairperson and the Sarick source says co-chairperson. (The latter seems to be true but it would be good to get to the bottom of this.)

-Sarick says Cox was “A founder” of Cumbayah festival. Suggesting there were others. Van Rijn says the same. Serge says she “co-ordinated” the first festival, perhaps suggesting she was the only one?

In the 1995 print issue of The Caribbean Camera, it states that "landing here [in Canada], she applied for a position with the Toronto Library and was accepted". This contradicts the interview with the Toronto Public Library Workers, where she indicates that she was picked up at airport by TPL staff. Perhaps she didn't have the job yet?
