I'm honestly unsure about the status of the "VT" in the station's name. While I was able to find a source (and likewise cited it in the article) stating that Virginia Tech was aiming to add their initials to the primary part of the station's name (like with Virginia Square–GMU station), in a lot of images from signage that I've seen at the station, it appears to be depicted/signed as more of a secondary name subtitle (like Vienna station). Per WMATA's maps, website, and most signs at the station, VT is a subtitle, not part of the station's name (see West Falls Church station as an example).
