A fact from Pavel Chioru appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 21 April 2024 (
check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Soviet politician Pavel Chioru wanted "
Moldovan", which he developed from
a dialect of Romanian, to serve as a language of the "exploited" against the supposedly upper-class Romanian?
The following is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify this page. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as
this nomination's talk page,
the article's talk page or
Wikipedia talk:Did you know), unless there is consensus to re-open the discussion at this page. No further edits should be made to this page.

Post-promotion hook changes
will be logged on the talk page; consider
watching the nomination until the hook appears on the Main Page.
Article is new, long enough and neutral. It is referenced with sources inline. "Earwig's Copyvio Detector" reports few text similarity, commenting "violation unlikely". The hook (I prefer the original one) is well-formed and interesting. Its length is within limit. It is inline referenced in foreign language, and for the accuracy of its fact, I AGF. Only one of the two required QPQs was provided. I will approve after the second QPQ isdone.

Thanks,
CeeGee. I became aware of the 2 QPQ requirement only after saving, and did not have the time to review a second. Will address this soon.
