The publication history section of this article is out of date, but as an associate of the journal Oral Tradition, I hesitate to update the article myself. The article should be updated to reflect the following:

-Since 2019, Oral Tradition has been published by Harvard University's Center for Hellenic Studies. -Oral Tradition publishes special issues on specific conceptual topics and regional traditions. -Oral Tradition publishes audiovisual materials in the form of eCompanions associated with specific articles.
