I visited there recently, and during the guided tour, asked the guide about this. She knew nothing about it. Also, the plantation was managed by a former Union general after the war, so it seems unlikely that the owners were Confederate sympathizers. • SupportI, of course, believe in merging. Federal Hill is the centerpiece of the State Park, without which there would be no state park. It's silly to have two separate articles on the same subject; both would have to be stubby otherwise. As "My Old Kentucky Home State Park" would be what its best known as, and not Federal Hill, the main article should be the state park, and Federal Hill should redirect.-- Bedford 01:00, 17 January 2008 (UTC) reply

   The prose is good. The only issue is the lead section, which is too short and doesn't provide a good summary of the article. If the lead can be improved to at least two paragraphs, summarizing things better, then I think the article would meet GA standards. See WP:LEAD.

   Citations used are reliable and information is verifiable.

3. It is broad in its coverage.

   The article seems to cover the major topics of the history and architecture of the house well.

   No stability issues, WP:3RR violations, or edit-warring are evident.

I see no references in regards to the speculative nature of the mentioning of Stephen Foster. It is my understanding from the history books that Stephen Foster wrote My Old Kentucky Home after visiting Federal Hill. It is also my understanding that the only thing that was under investigation by historians is whether Foster wrote it WHILE STAYING AT Federal hill. There is no question that Foster visited Federal Hill. Only two references are actually in the document. The third is absent even though it links to "Marsh". The two references that are linked are both over 10 years old. I see in both books where it states that it is questionable, HOWEVER, I do not see any indication that current historians DOUBT him visiting his cousins home at one point.
