The Miss Bangladesh Contest was first organized by Tibet Cosmetics in 1998. And for the very first time the competition took place in every division of Bangladesh. Contestants wore the dashio shari (national dress of women in Bangladesh).In Rajshahi division Miss Rajshahi was rabia,1st ranarup miss Rajshahi was Monika Parvin Prity,2nd Ranarup was Rini on 25th february,1998 . Shaila Simi was the Miss Dhaka ,1st ranarup was Jinia,2nd ranaup was Faujia. on March 30, 1998.Most of them are out of media soms is working many sirials and bangoli movie.jinia is now in airlines job ,Monika parvin prity is working in bangladesh's 1st 24 hour news channel CSB as marketing executive,Faujia is workin is print media, Shaila Simi is currently working as RJ in radio today fm 89.6 and also working as a producer in many different T. V shows.
No contest has been organized since 2001. However, the current famous beauty contest in Bangladesh is Pantene's You got the Look contest.
