Mackenzie King was the Department's first deputy minister, so how could he be its first minister? Does anyone know? HistoryBA 8 July 2005 20:15 (UTC)
King was both at different times. cmacd 01:22, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Have added Mulock and the two other missing ministers before King from [ [2]], but did not have time to check if there are any other mistakes in the complete list. David C Bailey ( talk) 21:04, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
I won't write in the maim article as I have connections but ..
HRDC started HRDC gained a Minister of Labour HRDC was split up into HRSDC AND SDC and had three ministers (human resorces and skills development, Labour and Social Devleopment
Service Canada was started as part of SDC.
HRSDC and SDC merged into one deprtment Human resorces and Social development, the minister of social development was dropped. Service Canada is still part of HRSDC. cmacd 01:27, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure if it's accurate to consider this position the official successor of the "Minister of Labour" since we still have a Minister of Labour in cabinet. Would it be more fair to consider this a new position that is branched off of the Minister of Labour? Because in that case we might need to reorient how the article is worded/how articles redirect.
