I'll post a review shortly. Thebiguglyalien ( talk) 01:11, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
All sources appear to be reliable. It mostly uses primary sources, which isn't ideal, but that's not a GA issue.
that speaks of a romantic ode.– This is a quote in the body but not in the lead. The article can't use the same wording as the source without attributing it. I suggest rewriting this in your own words.
The song received positive reactions from three music critics who found it delicate while one reviewer was unimpressed.– This implies that it was only ever reviewed by four critics. The collection of critic opinions that happen to be in the article can't be combined to create a new fact about overall reception.
The accompanying music video features Estefan in an empty ballroom, but it does not explicitly support that the clips are
flashbacks of when she met her lover in the same location. So that either needs a different source or it needs to be removed.
Spot checks:
a danzón ballad which tells of a "romantic ode".
award-winningsongs, as opposed to maybe a nominees list or a list of shout outs by the BMI Latin Awards?
The main issue with this article is that it simply doesn't tell us very much. There are a few aspects that are not covered:
How much focus these should be given depends on the existence of the sources, and not all of them might be possible, but I suggest taking another look to see what other sources exist. Biographies of the musician are usually a good resource, though I was unable to find anything useful there in a five minute search.
Not unduly positive or negative, no individual opinion is given undue weight.
No recent content disputes.
Album cover has a valid non-free use rationale.
I did a more thorough search for more sources. I agree, this is not an easy one to find sources for. Here's what I turned up:
Estéfano hit the ground running, co-authoring Jon Secada's No. 1 hits "Cree En Nuestro Amor" and "Sentir." But Estéfano put his name on the Latin musical map in 1993 by penning Gloria Estefan's international smash "Mi Tierra" and its chart-topping follow-up "Mi Buen Amor."
Mo Fitzgibbon, producer/director/co-owner, Walker Fitzgibbon Television and Filin Production, North Miami: When Emilio Estefan made his directorial debut on wife Gloria's music video "Mi Buen Amor" in 1994, he hand-picked Fitzgibbon to produce and codirect. The relationship blossomed, and much of the work done by Walker Fitzgibbon in 1996 has focused on Estefan.
So that gives us the song's significance to Estéfano and it gives us the video's producer/co-directors. There are also still a few issues from above that need further attention:
danzónor
"romantic ode". I tried to check the other attached source, but it is not accessible. Also, if "romantic ode" is a quote, then just changing it to "romantic tale" in the lead is still WP:Close paraphrasing and potentially plagiarism.
The song received mostly positive reactions from music critics who found it delicate altough one reviewer was unimpressed.– This still attempts to take the reviews in the article as synthesize them into overall claims about reception. If you want to say that reviews were "mostly positive", then you need to find a source that says reviews were mostly positive. Likewise, saying that one reviewer was unimpressed suggests that only one reviewer in the world was unimpressed with the song, which I doubt is true.

Several music critics gave it a positive reaction who found it delicate, although a reviewer was unimpressed.Any attempt to count the number of positive and negative reviews is original research. Instead of a quantitative analysis, use a qualitative one. Something like "critics praised the song for its delicate melody". Also,
Lannert notedshould be avoided, because it makes Lannert's opinion seem like an objective fact. I would use something like "Lannert described 'Mi Buen Amor' as one of the songs that made Estéfano a prominent figure in Latin music". That way it's clear it's his opinion, and it also avoids a direct quote. Thebiguglyalien ( talk) 18:59, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
